All uses available to humans are also available to animals.

  1. As a supplement:
    For dogs and cats: up to 1 small teaspoon a day mixed in food
    Horses: from 2 teaspoons to 300 ml a day mixed in food. Like with any other oil, introduce gradually over 2 weeks. Equitec recommended 300ml/day during the EI outbreak

     

  1. As a massage oil:
    use what is required to perfom the massage. You can add a drop or two of essential oils
  2. Rash:
    spread virgin coconut oil on the allergic area on the skin to make it soft and supple, with intense moisture and healing. Virgin coconut oil might help the baby rash or any red rash caused by clothes irritation and dry weather. You can also use the oil with french clay to make a clay paste and apply it on the rash
  3. Candida fungus:
    it is said that virgin coconut oil is effective in treating this fungus. Apply topically on the affected area and provide as a supplement in feed.
  4. Sores, cuts, abraisions, wounds:
    once the area has been cleaned, saturate with coconut oil. If applying a bandage, ensure it is saturated. Can also make a clay paste with coconut oil.
