Aromatherapy 4 Pets

What is aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is an excellent natural therapy for horses and dogs, not for cats though. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils as a therapy to certain physical and mental ailments. When essential oils penetrate the bloodstream, they release their components that act on the various systems of the body and promote self-healing.

Animals react well to it and it is easy to use as long as you know which essential oils to use on your pets.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Print
Natural Remedies for Pets - Coconut Oil 4 Pets
Written by Cass

We use extra virgin coconut oil for all of our products and as a supplement for our pets.

Our coconut oil comes from Fiji (Banaba). This Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is 100% pure premium grade oil manufactured the way Islanders have valued this oil for centuries. It comes from a totally organic area in Fiji and is extracted from fresh coconut (not copra derived). No chemicals or additives are used during the processing. The end-product is a quality oil which is higher in lauric and caprylic acid levels (approx 54% and 7.5% respectively) compared with other virgin coconut oils on the market. This oil is free of chemicals, including fertilizers, herbicides and food additives in the growing and processing of the product.

The manufacturing process

  • The coconut flesh is removed from matured coconuts then chipped into small pieces.
  • The coconut chips are then air dried with the temperature of not more than 60º degrees to remove moisture (below 10 percent w/w) without damaging the delicate essential Fatty Acid levels and important Vitamin E content.
  • The dehydrated coconut chips are then cold pressed to extract the oil.
  • The oil is then sieved through natural fibre filters to separate any coconut particles from the oil before pumping into large settling tanks. The result is a fine pure premium Virgin Coconut Oil with a shelf life of at least 3 years from production. It retains a rich natural coconut aroma and flavour and is a light golden clear colour in appearance.
  • The Virgin Coconut Oil is held in the settling tanks for a minimum period of 36 hours before being transferred into food grade 200 litre bladders held in open top (bio-degradable) cardboard outers.

The cold press Banaban Virgin Coconut Oil is extracted from fresh coconut flesh and is not copra derived. Coconut oil has been used by Pacific Islanders for centuries as a major part of their diet and for everyday usage. It has long been considered as 'The Tree of Life!'. It is high in valuable Lauric Acid.

It is not a new hype as some might think but more an enlightment on a product most known by people around the world whom have coconuts as part of their daily life. Being a Pacific islander myself, coconut oil has always palyed an important role in my life as a food and product for skin and hair. I use it daily for myself and my pets. I am delighted that this little treasure has finally been discovered by the rest of the world!
